Coronavirus: Alex Song and Seydou Doumbia dismissed for refusing partial unemployment!

Things are moving at FC Sion! Due to the temporary cessation of the championship due to coronavirus, the Swiss club has, like others, decided to put their players on partial unemployment (a device allowing them to receive part of their usual salary). But 9 of them refused this measure, including the Cameroonians Alexandre Song and Christian Zock, the Ivorians Seydou Doumbia and Xavier Kouassi, the Senegalese Birama Ndoye and the Swiss international of Ivorian origin Johan Djourou. Consequence: all these players were purely and simply dismissed, says the Swiss press agency ATS !

The case may not stop there, however, since the Swiss Players Union (SAFP) has stood up for the 9 players concerned. “We hope that these unfair dismissals will be immediately revoked and that a discussion on possible alternatives will open.SAFP president Lucien Valloni said in correspondence with FC Sion.
