In the United States, a family organized a surprise birthday party for one of the members and 18 people suffered from the coronavirus infection. The story was told by Ron Barbosa, one of the members, to the local WFAA outlet.
One of Ron’s nephews was an asymptomatic carrier of the virus and attended the celebration, unaware that he was carrying the viral load. There, ten direct relatives of the young man and seven other guests were infected.
“It didn’t last long, just a couple of hours … But during that brief time they somehow became infected with coronaviruses,” said Ron.
In turn, the boy reported that not all the family agreed with the birthday because they considered that it would be a high risk for everyone, but the celebration was the same. Despite this, he decided not to go.
It should be remembered that the United States is the country with the highest number of infected with almost 2.5 million people and the number of fatalities exceeded 125 thousand.
The infected young man had been playing golf hours before coming to the party and it would have been there where he caught it.
Three relatives of the boy are interned, however it is his father who is very complicated. The 75-year-old man is on intensive therapy with induced coma. “My father is hanging by a thread. They (my family) are there alone, without any family. It’s heartbreaking, ”said Ron.
