Linda, who happens to be the grandmother of Chesney Brown’s eldest son Joseph, will make her way back to Weatherfield next week, played once again by Jacqueline Leonard. As the upcoming episodes show, Chesney’s fiancée Gemma Winter thinks it’s a great idea to include Linda in their wedding, and Chesney agrees to send her an invitation. When Linda arrives from Portugal, she offers to pay for the wedding catering, causing some dramatic tension with Gemma’s mother Bernie, who clashes with Linda. However, Linda’s generosity is not to be underestimated, and she also buys Chesney and Joseph new wedding suits. But what will Gemma say when she finds out that Chesney accepted Linda’s offer of new suits behind her back?
