KOMPAS.com – Total number of cases corona virus has reached 10 million worldwide, on Sunday (6/28/2020) night WIB.
The United States and Latin America are the two regions that have experienced the highest surge of cases lately.
Data from Worldometers mention, there are 10,169,656 cases Covid-19 which has been recorded worldwide since its first appearance last December.
Meanwhile the number of deaths reached 502,808 worldwide, with 5,508,693 patients recovering.

Europe remains the continent with the worst effects due to the corona virus. News agency AFP on Sunday a total of 2,637,546 cases occurred there.
The mortality rate on the Blue Continent was also quite high, reaching 195,975.
Then in the United States there were a total of 2,510,323 cases, with 125,539 victims dead.
Infection rates worldwide have doubled since May 21, and 1 million new cases were recorded in the past 6 days.

In Latin America alone there have been more than 400,000 new cases in the past week, then corona cases in India reached 500,000 on Saturday (6/27/2020) after adding 18,500 cases a day, which is the highest number in 24 hours.
However AFP explained, the data they collected from national authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO) might only show a small number of actual cases.
Many countries only test people who are asymptomatic or with serious conditions, while there are also some countries that do not have the capacity to carry out large-scale testing.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that the number of infected people in the US is 10 times the official figure, or more than 20 million people.
This respiratory disease began to spread in 30 of the 50 states, especially the largest and most populous such as California, Texas, and Florida.

Underneath are Peru (total 275,989 with 24,651 new cases last week), Chile (total 267,766 with 31,018 new cases), Mexico (total 212.802 with 37,600 new cases), and Colombia (total 88,592 with 22,959 new cases).
Asia also experienced a surge of new cases, especially in India which had a total of 528,859 cases including 118,398 new cases in the past 7 days.
Under India there are Pakistan (a total of 202,955 with 26,338 new cases), and Bangladesh (a total of 137,787 with 25,481 new cases).
In Europe the number of daily cases has stabilized in the past month, with the addition of less than 20,000.
Even so, WHO warns of a “massive revival” of the corona virus on the continent.
