Amsterdam teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 can make an appointment from today to be vaccinated with the corona vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech. Minister Hugo de Jonge has decided this after a positive advice from the health council.

According to the GGD, vaccinating young people can also prevent a revival in the autumn. Opinions about the possibility of vaccination were divided among the young people. “Yes, I think so,” says a girl. “No, because Janssen is finished,” says a boy. “I don’t think I really need it,” says another student.
Young people who do want to be vaccinated have different motivations for doing so. “Purely for the privileges. I just want to be able to go on vacation and go out without those PCR tests all the time,” says one boy. “For my safety and that of others,” said another.
Today, young people from 2004 can first make an appointment with the GGD. The following days, 16 and 15-year-olds can set a blood test date by telephone or via the internet. And so on.
