Recommendation of the Stiko is expected in the coming week
According to the Ministry of Health, the recommendation of the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) is expected in the coming week. Until then, only children and adolescents in these special exceptional cases should be vaccinated in Baden-Wrttemberg.
The corona vaccine from the manufacturer Biontech / Pfizer has been approved in the EU for children and adolescents from the age of twelve since May 28. So far, Stiko has not issued a recommendation to vaccinate children. However, its chairman Thomas Mertens had previously said that no general recommendation for all healthy children was to be expected. On this Monday, vaccination prioritization ceases to exist in Germany. This means that there is no longer any priority for certain groups in the vaccination centers in Baden-Wrttemberg.
