The corona virus has surfaced in the northern German town of Papenburg, just across the border from the municipality of Westerwolde.

This is a 32-year-old woman from the municipality of Westoverledingen, who works as a nurse in Papenburg. She was admitted to the Papenburg Hospital on Tuesday as a precaution at the Marien Hospital. She was allowed to go home on Wednesday afternoon because her health condition had improved considerably.
At home in quarantine
She stays at home in quarantine, just like her partner, who is not yet showing any symptoms of the disease. The couple has no children.
The woman had reported to her doctor with a sore throat and fever. A test showed that she was infected. She was hospitalized isolated.
Home care
The woman works in home care. 68 contacts were revealed during research. Most in Emsland, but also Steinfurt and the county of Bentheim. To be sure, these contacts have also been placed in quarantine.
It is not yet clear how the woman became infected. That will probably no longer be traced either, Heike de Vries expects from the Landkreis Leer health service.
