Sixteen of the thirty residents in the nursing home at Anton de Komplein in Southeast are infected with the corona virus.

This confirms a spokesman for Cordaan. After a few residents had minor symptoms, everyone was tested. The results were announced yesterday.
‘They are clients with dementia, so it is difficult to recognize whether they have symptoms,’ says the spokesperson for care organization Cordaan. ‘What we now know is that the complaints are relatively mild, they are asymptomatic.’
The infected residents are housed on one floor. There they also receive medical care if necessary. Care personnel are ‘fully protected’ and therefore wear medical mouth masks and glasses, among other things.
No residents had previously been infected with the corona virus at this Cordaan location.
