In the future, in addition to the incidence of new infections, other values such as the number of hospital admissions are to be taken more into account. According to the Ministry of Health, 116 Covid patients are currently being treated in the normal wards in the Saxon clinics. 39 other patients with a severe corona infection are in an intensive care unit (as of: 23.09.2021, 12 noon). Advance warning and overload level
In addition to the incidence values, the new protection ordinance provides for a warning level and an overload level due to bed occupancy in the Saxon clinics. The warning level now applies if the 7-day incidence of hospitalizations is at least seven and 650 beds in the normal ward or if the 7-day incidence of hospitalizations is at least seven and 180 beds in the intensive care unit are occupied by Covid 19 patients .

The overload level is reached when the 7-day incidence of hospitalizations is at least 12 and 1,300 beds in the normal ward or if the 7-day incidence of hospitalizations is at least 12 and 420 beds in the intensive care unit are occupied by Covid-19 patients . As with the incidence values, the 5 + 2 rule also applies to bed occupancy and the 7-day incidence of hospitalizations.

Vaccination center in Dresden closes

A new corona protection ordinance has been in force in Saxony since Thursday. With it, a so-called 2G option model is taking effect for the first time: Anyone who, as an organizer or club operator, only grants access to vaccinated or recovered people can dispense with compliance with the minimum distance, mask requirement or capacity restrictions.

54 percent of people in Saxony are now fully vaccinated against Corona, nationwide it is more than 63 percent. In Dresden, the vaccination center in the Ostragehege will open one last time this Friday. Interested parties can receive a corona vaccination there until the evening. In the future, resident doctors and mobile vaccination teams are to take over vaccinations.
