Update from Monday, February 28, 7:32 a.m.: The 7-day incidence in the district of Soest takes a big step down at the start of the week and is 1,249.4 on Monday morning according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) (previous day: 1,322.9, previous week: 1,377). The RKI counts 121 new infections in the Soest district from Sunday to Monday.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the incidence drops to 1,076.5 (previous day: 1,087.3, previous week: 1,249.9). The Mettmann district also had the highest incidence in the state on Monday (1,775.5), and the city of Oberhausen had the lowest (607).

Nationwide, the 7-day incidence drops minimally to 1,238.2 (previous day: 1,240.3, previous week: 1,346.8). The RKI counts a total of 62,349 new infections in Germany within 24 hours (previous week: 73,867) and 24 deaths with the corona virus (previous week: 22).

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the incidence in the Soest district on Sunday morning was 1,322.9 (previous day: 1,324.8, previous week: 1,355.1).

The RKI counted 612 new infections in the Soest district from Saturday to Sunday (previous week: 392) and one death. The district of Soest now has the eleventh highest incidence in NRW. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 44,027 corona infections have been confirmed in the Soest district, which corresponds to 14.6 percent of the population.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the incidence drops to 1,087.3 (previous day: 1,106.8, previous week: 1,261.2). Update from Saturday, February 26, 6:46 p.m.: According to the Divi intensive care register, four people are currently being treated in intensive care for a corona infection in the Soest district, two of whom are being ventilated invasively. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the value on Friday morning is 1,311.2 (previous day: 1,307.9, previous week: 1,409.6). This puts the Soest district in 13th place among the 53 NRW municipalities. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 42,709 corona infections have been detected in the Soest district, which corresponds to 14.2 percent of the population.
