The daily death rate of the new Corona virus returned to a significant decrease today, Monday, after the Ministry of Health recorded 5 new cases, the lowest level in 9 days, which witnessed an increase in the number of deaths, which reached its maximum last Friday by 17 cases.
The overall death rate decreased by a small margin, registering 7.4% after reaching Sunday’s high of 7.69%, given that 164 deaths were recorded, out of 2190 cases infected to date.
The injury index remained stable at its level to remain “flat” by recording 125 new cases that proved positive for its laboratory analyzes of (Covid 19), one case down from Sunday.
The Ministry of Health said that the new casualties are all Egyptians, as part of the Ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
However, the recovery index returned to recovery, achieving the third largest number of injured hospital discharge patients, with 41 cases, raising the total to 488 to date, by 22.2%.
To date, 1538 cases under medical care are still in isolation, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, including 164 injured people in a number of hotels and youth hostels in Giza, Alexandria and Damietta, and the rest in 13 isolation hospitals nationwide.
The number of cases whose results of laboratory analysis changed from positive to negative for Corona virus 622 cases, including the 488 recovered.
