Corona infection risk: Not all groups at risk already have a vaccination offer
“According to our analysis, educators have the highest risk of infection of all professional groups, not only in Berlin, but also throughout Germany. It was therefore the right decision of the federal government to give preference to this professional group in the vaccination sequence, ”said Daniela Teichert, CEO of AOK Nordost, in view of the results.
In the Berlin “Top 10” professions with the highest risk of infection, there are predominantly employees in health professions who have already received a vaccination offer or who will soon receive a vaccination offer. It has been different so far for food production workers in 7th place and bus drivers in 8th place – they will have to be patient before they can get a vaccination offer.
For the data analysis, the certificates of incapacity for work of the employed Berlin insured persons of the AOK Nordost from March to December 2020 were taken into account. A total of around 4500 AU certificates with a Covid 19 diagnosis were evaluated. Around one in five people in Berlin is insured with AOK Nordost.
