Corona doesn’t smell and taste anything for a year: ‘I only eat because I have to’

How can odor and taste simply disappear due to corona?

The so-called olfactory epithelium is located at the top of the nose. In that fabric there are olfactory fibers, tiny blades, that react to smells. They are also sometimes compared to an orchestra. That ‘orchestra’ sends signals to the brain and that is how we recognize smells. The corona virus ensures that the scent fibers no longer work properly. The brain is no longer able to recognize certain smells. This also affects the perception of taste.
