The continental competition will take place in Argentina and Colombia with the twelve teams – including Qatar and Australia – divided into two groups, one from each country. The opening match is scheduled for June 11, 2021 in Buenos Aires while the final will take place in Barranquilla, Colombia on July 10.

La Conmebol also authorized the change of up to three players from each country’s roster, in addition to injury replacements, once the group stage is over. The replacements must come from the provisional list of 50 players submitted by each team before the tournament.
