Coop has confirmed new tips

The delegates of the Coop Group Cooperative approved the changes announced last autumn at the top of the group and on the Board of Directors in writing.

Accordingly, the previous CEO, Joos Sutter, will take over the presidency from the resigning Hansueli Loosli, as Coop announced on Friday. Hansueli Loosli has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coop Group Cooperative since 2011 and will step down on April 30, 2021. Until further notice, he will hold the Presidium of Transgourmet Holding AG.

The constituent meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors also appointed former Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard as the successor to Irene Kaufmann as Vice-President, as planned.

In addition to Joos Sutter, Michael Fuhrer, CFO Hänseler AG, Grégoire Ribordy, CEO ID Quantique SA, Karim Twerenbold, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Twerenbold Group, and Markus Beer, Head of Coop’s Bakery Department, are new to the Board of Directors. Peter Eisenhut and Hans Jürg Käser have resigned for reasons of age.

As already communicated, Philipp Wyss will replace Sutter as CEO of Coop at the operational head of Coop on May 1, 2021. In recent years he was Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Head of the Marketing / Procurement Directorate. His deputy is Daniel Stucker, who has been in charge of the Trading department for many years. Philipp Wyss’ successor is Andrea Kramer, the previous Head of Category Management / Basic Food Procurement / Cleaning.
