Coomecipar’s Short Story Contest “Dr. Jorge Ritter”: presenting digital books and podcasts – Literature

Winning works of the Short Story Competition “Dott. Jorge Ritter ”are part of two digital books and a podcast, which were presented today as part of the awards ceremony for the 2022 edition. The books can be downloaded for free from the web, while the podcasts are available on various digital platforms.

The Short story competition “Dott. Jorge Ritter “organized by the Cooperative of Healthcare Professionals Share Ltda; The award ceremony for the winners of the 2022 edition was held today. Two digital books were also presented, one for adults and one for children, with the winning stories of the last five years.

About 260 stories presented this year in the competition, organized annually by the Cultural, Social and Sports Committee of Coomecipar, with the aim of promoting culture through reading, writing and creativity. The competition is divided into three categories: children, adolescents and adults.

In the Children category the first place went to “Travesía del Chaco”, by Maite García Meza. “The structure of Chema”, by Fabrizio Ferreira González, obtained the second place, while the third place went to “The drought in the kingdom of water”, by Candela Román Valenzuela.

The jury composed of Lourdes Talavera, Andrea Piccardo y Alexander Hernandez The short stories “Fiesta en la galaxy” by Benjamín Rodríguez Gómez and “Soñadora” by Danna Nicole Bresanovich were also mentioned.

In the Teen category the winning story was “Rayos de sol”, by Luis Álvarez Ruiz. “Dalia has a purpose”, by Samira Insaurralde and “The surprise of the multiverse”, by Joaquín Duarte Azzarini, took second and third place respectively.

The jury composed of Luz Saldivar, Laura Ferreira y Javier Viveros He also awarded a mention to the short story “Aurora borealis”, by Ángela Paredes Duré.

“Like Everyone”, a story written by Tanya Fernandez, won first place in the adult category. Second place went to Isidro Britez Villalba with “Reencuentro” and third place to Alicia Riquelme Crosa for her work “The Archive”.

The jury was made up of Sebastian Ocampos, André Colman y Mary Irma Betzel. The “Pantanal” stories by Ricardo Doldán Pintos were also reported; “Chronicles of an Incident”, by Nelson Busto Centurión and “Coronel Ramírez District”, by Diego Verón González.

“The prizes consist of cash for the top three places in each category,” Lic explained. Nilsa Saguier, member of the Cultural, Social and Sports Commission of Coomecipar. He added that every year they have a greater participation in this event, which has been taking place for 27 years.

Digital books and podcasts to encourage reading

Nilsa Saguier also highlighted that, as part of the celebration of Coomecipar’s 50th anniversary, the books made with the winning stories of the last five years have been launched in digital format. She added that they are available for download at www.coomecipar.coop.py.
