2nd place: Saitama City

2nd place was “Saitama City”. Saitama City is the prefectural capital of Saitama Prefecture. It has the largest population in the prefecture and has tourist spots such as the Saitama Super Arena, which is used as a venue for sports matches and concerts, and the Railway Museum.

Omiya Ward and Urawa Ward, which form the center of Saitama City, are connected to many railway lines and have good access to the rest of Tokyo. Omiya Station, where the Shinkansen is available, is surrounded by large commercial facilities and has developed into a terminal station.

1st place: Kawagoe City

The first place was “Kawagoe City”. Kawagoe City is connected to the JR Saikyo Line, Kawagoe Line, Hachiko Line, Tobu Tojo Line, and Seibu Shinjuku Line, making it an area easily accessible from central Tokyo such as Ikebukuro and Shinjuku.

Kawagoe City, which is also known as a tourist destination, has a historic townscape called “Little Edo,” which is lined with warehouse-style buildings. Perhaps one of Kawagoe’s charms is that it is both a downtown area and a tourist destination.
