Ajax announced the selection for the legends match against Liverpool on Saturday morning. However, that list of names did not go down well with the supporters. The fans miss a lot of real Ajax players and see some players in the selection that they do not like.

The names of Kenneth Perez, Ryan Babel, Olaf Lindenbergh, Dennis Gentenaar and Jan van Halst, among others, are causing a stir online. This is remarkable for the latter, as he still works at the club as interim director. Ajax fans still see him as one of the people responsible for the fact that Sven Mislintat could go about his business undisturbed.
A number of other fans were hoping for a different announcement than the selection for the legends match. Ajax announced via Another notable name in the legends selection is that of Sjaak Swart. ‘Mister Ajax’ is now 85 years old and is therefore also a member of the group. Whether he will also make minutes is unknown.
