A scandal erupted in Russia over the design of the new 1,000 and 5,000 ruble banknotes, on which the designers replaced the crosses with a crescent.
Today, the Russian Central Bank introduced new, “modernized” banknotes for 1000 and 5000 rubles, which caused a loud scandal in Russia. It turned out that the artists removed all crosses that symbolize Christianity from churches and chapels on money, replacing them with Muslim crescents. So, now instead of Yaroslavl, the Syuyumbike tower with a crescent is depicted on the thousandth banknote.
The propaganda publication Ridovka states that before the eyes of Russians, the “destruction of Russian meanings” is taking place.
On the old banknote, entirely dedicated to Yaroslavl, one could see a monument to Yaroslav the Wise, a chapel against the background of the Yaroslavl Kremlin, as well as a bell tower and the Church of John the Baptist. Now on the reverse side, instead of Yaroslavl, the sights of Tatarstan are depicted, in particular, the Syuyumbike tower with a crescent.

Another blow for them was the rebranding of the Alenka chocolate bar, which was made halal. Now they are proposing to rename her “Adilya”. Russians are sounding the alarm as Muslim immigrants from Central Asia continue to pour into the country. All this is happening against the backdrop of the death of large numbers of ethnic Russians in the war in Ukraine.
