Controversies Surrounding Get Rich Show: Difficulty of Questions and Monetary Gain

New problems surrounding the show Get Rich, which are causing wider discussions.

A new one broke out about the show and how the difficulty of the questions corresponded to the monetary gain. This happened after the participation of Galena Dobreva on Wednesday.

Without any particular difficulties, she managed to reach the first certain amount – 500 BGN. The question for her was: “Which of the countries borders only one country and its territory is contained entirely in the territory of another country?”

a/ Indonesia

b/ Lesotho

to/Mongolia

d/Kenya

The question is not particularly difficult, but it is still possible for one to hesitate. Dobreva struggled and wanted to use a 50/50 joker. This helped her arrive at the correct answer – Lesotho.

Observant game fans recalled that the exact same question was asked of American Kim Hunt in the US version of the game in 2000.

He answers correctly, wins the game and becomes a millionaire. The question to Hunt was asked in exactly the same way as to Dobreva. The answers are – Lesotho, Burkina Faso, Mongolia and Luxembourg. In the Bulgarian version, Luxembourg is replaced by Indonesia, which is also one of the largest countries in the world and is known for its numerous islands.

This again sparked debates about why in our country questions considered difficult in foreign versions of the game are rated low in our country and awarded with very small sums. Not to mention that the original name of the game is “Who wants to be a millionaire” and in other countries the participants can really win millions. In our country, the jackpot is BGN 100,000 and has not been changed since the game was hosted by Niki Kanchev.
