In a surprise, an informed source in the Works Censorship Authority, affiliated with the Supreme Council for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, confirmed in exclusive statements to Masrawy that this song was categorically rejected by censors, but the song’s makers put it on YouTube, without permission.
The source pointed out that the censorship of artistic works has no authority on the Internet.
The source confirmed that the Censorship of Artistic Works is in the process of taking legal measures against the makers of the song, and is issuing a report on the incident, as stipulated by the law.
The song “3 Continuous Hours” is written and composed by Aziz Al-Shafi’i, arranged by Touma, and its lyrics include: “There is no time for us to hide from people, from the blackness that has spread… from the isolation that has plagued us, and when we are stuck in our affairs… there is no time for us to rest from the trouble.. For his part, Mustafa Kamel, head of the Musicians Syndicate, said that the union has no income or control over the song, and the whole matter is due to artistic works.
