controversial headline RosSMI amused the network – UNIAN

The publication nevertheless corrected the title, but it took three tries.

Russian newspaper frightened readers with news about Shoigu / UNIAN

Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu gave an interview to the magazine “Vokrug Sveta”, where he spoke about the dangers of consumerism. The newspaper “Vzglyad” made news about it, but gave an unfortunate headline. The news “sparkled with new colors” and attracted the attention of Twitter users.

In an interview with Vokrug Sveta, Shoigu (among other things, the head of the Russian Geographical Society) pointed out one of the main threats to humanity.

“I will express a thought that, I think, many will not like. It seems to me that mankind is heading for its own destruction by leaps and bounds. And the reason for this is the unrestrained desire to consume,” he said.

“Glance” submitted this fragment with the title “Shoigu said that he will lead humanity to destruction.” Many readers viewed this wording as a threat and hinted at the need to change the title.

The journalists tried to fix everything, but only made the situation worse. The new wording was no better than the old one.
