The set, as expected, included the game itself, two story add-ons (The Foundation and AWE) and all the updates released by the time of the premiere. However, many were surprised by the decision of the publisher or developers regarding the upgrade for the new consoles.
As stated in the official FAQ, buyers only Control Ultimate Edition on PS4 and Xbox One will receive a free update for PS5 and Xbox Series X, while owners of the original on new consoles, it seems, will only be available for backward compatibility.
Even though less than an hour has passed since the announcement, such a decision is already being actively criticized – why did the first buyers end up being deprived of a free update, although they supported the developers with a ruble much earlier than the buyers of the new edition?
