Continuation of the Presidential Initiative for Maternal and Fetal Health in El-Arish

Dr. Dina Ayman, Deputy Director of Health Care in North Sinai, stressed the importance of the pregnant mother’s participation in the presidential initiative, the health of the mother and the fetus, as commissioned by Dr. Tariq Shawka, Director of the Health Directorate.

She explained that the initiative aims at early detection of infection with HIV, HIV and syphilis for pregnant women, in addition to reducing maternal deaths from these diseases.

Ibtisam Fouda, Inspector of Primary Care Nursing at the Health Directorate, confirmed that the initiative guarantees the confidentiality of analyzes, as well as advice to prevent diseases, and requires approval and the woman’s turnout for service.

Fathi Othman, an education officer, added that the initiative is sustainable within the services of health units and mother and child centers, within the framework of activating and improving the quality of routine services provided by mother and child care in North Sinai.
