contamination on the rise in schools

While the epidemic figures at the national level show a strong increase contamination in schools, the trend is also on the rise, but less noticeable in Burgundy.

Increase in contamination in Burgundy

The figures of the epidemic evolution made public by the rectorate of Dijon this Friday March 26 show an evolution in the increase in all indicators :

  • Closed classes: 25 (compared to 21 last week)
  • Establishment closed: 1 (there were none the previous week)
  • Students confirmed positive: 330 (up from 278 last week)
  • Staff confirmed positive: 35 (compared to 23 last week)

Fewer classes closed in the Yonne

Regarding class closures, it is mainly in Saône-et-Loire and Côte-d’Or that they took place. The Yonne was little affected this week since only one class was closed, at the Jean Zay school in Auxerre, against seven classes closed the previous week in primary and one in middle school.

Very few saliva tests performed

Another lesson from weekly data. In the Dijon academy, 5,393 saliva tests were offered to students and staff, but only 3330 have been completed, with a positivity rate of 0.42%. As a reminder, the Dijon academy (Yonne, Nièvre, Côte-d’Or and Saône-et-Loire) has 271,764 students this year.
