Conspiracy of Revenge: To the investigator the accused, the indictment is heavy – 2024-03-03 09:25:16

Six of the 10 arrested, members of the “Revenge Conspiracy” terrorist organization, are testifying before an investigator today 3/3 from 8 am. The 10 persons have been charged with serious charges involving six felonies and five misdemeanors.

The defendants, four of whom are in prison for other crimes, are being asked to answer for what they are accused of in connection with three specific acts of terrorism that took place in 2023 and two that took place last January and February.

The last and decisive action for the dismantling of the organization was the sending of a file laced with explosives to a court official at the Thessaloniki Courthouse. A leading role in the organization, according to the case file, was held by a prisoner in Domokos prisons, convicted for a series of robberies. According to the authorities, two persons from the armed forces are also involved in the case, who are said to have supplied the organization with explosives.

Against the 10 defendants, the indictment per case concerns the felony offenses of:

• Management, integration and formation of a criminal organization
• Terrorist act of attempted murder
• Terrorist act of explosion in succession committed and attempted
• Terrorist act of manufacturing, possessing and supplying explosives
• Terrorist act of distinguished weapon possession and
• A terrorist act of aggravated assault and the misdemeanors of supporting a terrorist organization, inciting a terrorist act, unlawful violence against judicial officers, unlawful possession of a shotgun and unlawful possession of narcotics for personal use.
