Congress leader Rahul Gandhi summoned by Sultanpur court for remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh): Court summons Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The MP-MLA court in Uttar Pradesh, Sultanpur, issued the summons asking him to appear on January 6.

On August 4, 2018, a case was filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra alleging that Rahul Gandhi had made objectionable remarks against Amit Shah. Santhosh Pandey, Vijay Mishra’s lawyer, said that although he was asked to appear in the case on December 16, Rahul did not appear.

After hearing the case on November 18, Judge Yogesh Yadav adjourned the next hearing to November 27. Then the court sent a summons to Rahul asking him to appear on December 16, Pandey said. Vijay Mishra, a native of Hanumanganj, is the former chairman of the Co-operative Bank.
