“Condolence of Journalist and Senator Mahmoud Bakri: Public Figures Participate in Funeral at Omar Makram Mosque in Cairo”

A large number of public figures participated in the condolence of journalist and senator Mahmoud Bakri, brother of writer and parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry, at the Omar Makram Mosque in Cairo.

Among them was the advisor, Mortada Mansour, the former president of Zamalek Club.

Bakri, a member of the Senate, died last Tuesday, after a struggle with illness, and Muhammad al-Jarhi, a member of the Council of the Journalists Syndicate, wrote on his Facebook account today: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return.. Journalist and MP Mahmoud Bakri is under God’s protection.. Please pray for him .. May God have mercy on him and make his abode in Paradise and give patience to his family.”

Bakri was transferred to Maadi Military Hospital after 70 days spent in Al-Salam International Hospital, and he was admitted to the intensive care room in the military hospital, where he was being treated for pneumonia and a defect in the immune system.
