The GGD Amsterdam and the safety region are seriously concerned about the increasing number of corona infections in the city. Source and contact research by the health service shows that especially young people between the ages of 20 and 30 are now infected with the virus.

The Amsterdam-Amstelland Safety Region, chaired by Mayor Halsema, writes in a press release that striking new clusters of corona infections have come to light. Clusters are infections of three or more people around the same meeting.
For example, the GGD has identified new clusters among people with a migration background in New West, among catering visitors in the city center and among students.
Student association and strip club
Decided last week three cafes in the city (partially) close their doors after multiple corona infections had occurred. This morning it was announced that at a strip club in the Warmoesstraat at least ten staff members and one customer have become infected. Also with the student corps identified a cluster of infections. The introduction time at ASC / AVSV has been discontinued.
Most new corona infections occur among young adults aged 20 to 30 years old. People often become infected during a visit to the catering industry, at family or friends’ home, or at a party.
