The complaint that singer Stan Van Samang has filed with the Brussels investigating judge because nude images of him are circulating, is not the first complaint of its kind.

More than a year ago, another BV already lodged a complaint with the Halle-Vilvoorde prosecutor’s office because intimate photos of him were also distributed. That has the news agency Belgian Heard from a reliable source. That investigation would still be ongoing, although it is not clear whether there is a direct or indirect connection with the leaked photos and videos of Stan Van Samang, Peter Van de Veire and Sean Dhondt that are circulating.
The images were also shared on internet forums, but one of those involved already engaged a lawyer to put an end to it.
At least some of the images were also offered for sale on a satirical website, which also devoted an article to the story, with anonymised photos. In summary proceedings, one of the private companies involved obtained that those images also had to be removed.
On Wednesday, Van Samang reported through his lawyers that he had filed a complaint against unknowns with the investigating judge in Brussels, and that he had also gone to the summary proceedings judge.
“The chairman of the Dutch-speaking court of first instance of Brussels has imposed a ban on anyone from distributing or preserving those images,” the singer’s lawyers reported Thursday. “The judge has also ordered all technology companies to remove those images from their infrastructure and make them inaccessible, subject to forfeiture of a fine of 10,000 euros.”
According to various media there is catfishing, trapping the victims through false social media profiles.
