Companion mode enters beta

WhatsApp users with multiple devices should be happy with it. Android beta first testers (currently version 2.22.24.18) report that they can use their WhatsApp account on multiple devices. Companion mode makes it possible. This requires WhatsApp to be installed by default and ready to use. On the second device, the phone number is usually asked for when setting up WhatsApp, but you can use the “Help” menu to call up pairing mode, which ensures that a QR code is displayed. This can then be scanned with the “WhatsApp smartphone” (Settings > Connected devices), as is also the case with WhatsApp on the web or the WhatsApp app for Windows and macOS. So the feature is finally here, but not all users are currently served. While I have no luck with the current beta, things are different for friends who already have access.
