Building peace, through music, that reflects the feelings and visualizes the talent of the communities that live in the north of Cauca, is the objective of more than 1,300 musicians in Santander de Quilichao.
This Sunday, November 26, ‘Celebrate Music 2023, sounds for the construction of peace’ will be held in that Cauca municipality with a concert presented by indigenous, Afro-descendant and musicians from the central Andean region of Colombia.

On this musical day, there will be the Great Choral and Instrumental Ensemble, which has more than a thousand boys and girls from Cauca and achieves a union of voices and symphonic bands which will have the participation of the singer Adriana Lucía and the countertenor, Asael Cuesta.
There will also be the Regional Students, more than one hundred and fifty professional musicians benefited by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge through the Sounds for the Construction of Peace program.

The Estudiantes Regionales project is an important initiative for traditional Colombian Andean music. The project contributes to the preservation of culture Colombia, promotes musical training and generates decent job opportunities for musicians.
The Mar y Río Group, the Palmeras Group, the Luis Carlos Charanguita, the Piurek Group and the TIMCCA Chirimía will also take part in this musical festival, who will give a musical story of the paths that are opening up in the country against peace.

For closing, the legendary Bahía Group, led by maestro Hugo Candelariowill be presented with a quartet ensemble that prepared a special repertoire for this occasion.

From November 26 to the last week of December, more than 40 concerts, throughout the country, within the framework of Colombia Celebrate Music, under the premise of Sounds for the Construction of Peace.
From Putumayo to Guajira, from Nariño to Guainía, passing through Casanare, Caquetá, Sucre and Tolima, the Sounds for the Construction of Peace will demonstrate that Colombia Celebrates Music.
The event will take place at the Los Guasimos Sports Center from 9 in the morning.
