Oswald has been working as a member of Yoshimoto 8 Hall’s signature comedian “Mugendai Regular” since the theater was renovated in April 2021. Since advancing to the finals for the first time at “M-1 Grand Prix 2019,” he has achieved the feat of being a finalist for four consecutive years, and won the long-awaited victory at the “42nd ABC Comedy Grand Prix.” I have grown a lot both once and twice. Currently, in addition to having eight regular programs, he has appeared in numerous media outlets, and has expanded his field of activity even further, leading to his graduation.
This is a positive graduation, following the graduation of Urutora Boogie’s Air Stairs the year before last and the men’s swing ZAZY in March last year. This will be a commemorative live performance to commemorate the group’s departure to a new stage as they step up in the future, with friends who have worked hard together as Mugendai regulars to send them off in style. If I kept going like this, it would take up the word count of a graduation thesis, so I’ll force myself to summarize it, but for me, ∞ Hall is the origin of my development as a comedian, where I was taught the sweet and sour things by the comedians of my seniors, juniors, and peers, the staff, and the customers. I have decided to graduate from the theater members of ∞ Hall.
∞ Hall is the theater that I have the fondest memories of, and when I close my eyes, countless memories come back to me.
A dark place at the back of the dressing room. How many times have I laid down on a tatami mat and laid there?
I even lied down until just before my turn and appeared on stage with tatami marks on my cheeks. Just when I thought I was close to falling asleep, Sky Circuit started recording the radio in a dark place, and I couldn’t help but listen to it and burst into laughter.
Sometimes I forgot to put away the tatami mats I used, and Oikawa-san, the dance director, warned me about it.
Even after I graduate, the night sweats that soaked into that tatami won’t go away. I would be happy if you could remember this every time you look at tatami.
