When Paul spoke to the people he wanted to win over to Jesus Christ, he often became very rude, even primitive. Not that he swore, that would have been too strange for an apostle, but he knew how the people who sat before him spoke: simple, indecent, straightherout. It was important to him to reach them – these slaves, henchmen, half-silkn Criminals, whores or unemployedn Craftsman. Paul was still at the beginning of his remarkable career, which would make him the most powerful Christian next to Christ himself; The rich wives of senators did not yet come to him secretly, nor were there any Roman officers to confide in him. Still he attracted people like moths to light. They fell for him, they were baptized by him, they believed in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
