Colomiers, urban redevelopment of the Pelvoux district.

The urban redevelopment project in the Pelvoux district (Haute-Garonne) was relaunched after a two-year hiatus. The study phase continues to imagine new developments. A first study was conducted in 2019 by the Agency for Urban Planning and Development Toulouse metropolitan area (AUAT). It made it possible to highlight the strengths and difficulties of the neighborhood. Added to this were the changes planned for its environment, such as the arrival of the third metro line. Work groups were also set up with the inhabitants to co-build the project.

Pelvoux is an old sector built in the 70’s Street and its public spaces no longer respond to contemporary uses. Home to five buildings, owned by the social owners Altéal and Patrimoine SA Languedocienne, the district has 146 houses which are also dilapidated. The renovation program therefore includes renovations, demolitions and constructions that will bring the number of homes to over 360.

Construction is expected to start by 2023 according to the project’s provisional schedule. It will begin with the construction of two new buildings. The delivery of the first homes is expected in 2024. As for the rehabilitation of the preserved homes, it is expected by 2025.
