Colomiers. The nursing home receives municipal and private aid

In this context of health crisis, the municipal nursing home Residence Emeraude Anne-Laffont had to make additional purchases to secure its operation and improve the daily lives of residents.

“In total, 42,620 € were invested by the CCASS for this municipal Ehpad”, explains Karine Traval-Michelet, mayor of Colomiers. “These are expenses that seemed essential to us in the current context, which requires both showing the greatest vigilance within our nursing home, while ensuring the maintenance of the autonomy of our residents, their morale and links with their families “.

The nursing home thus purchased protective equipment for € 17,920 (gloves, gel, welcome kit,

coolers and air conditioners, family visit kit), equipment to maintain links with families for € 8,000 (tablets, laptop PC, camera and reprography) and equipment related to maintaining autonomy for € 16,700 (trolleys multisensory, musical terminals, walking route).

Financial actions

In order to finance part of these purchases, the town hall benefited from two private aid funds: € 20,000 from the Fondation Crédit Agricole and € 15,913 from the GMF.

In addition, the process of granting food vouchers to 1,119 families in difficulty for an amount of € 201,550 found an echo in the action of the SMACL Solidarity association, which thus paid the City a subsidy of € 3,000, as part of an aid fund implemented in the context of the health crisis.

So much aid which supports and consolidates action towards the most vulnerable and which represents a precious financial complement at a time when local communities are bearing significant additional costs linked to the pandemic.
