The last victory of the Blues against the All Blacks has remained forever engraved in the memories of all rugby lovers. On November 20, France bent the reigning world champions in a match that will forever retain a very special flavor. An even more resounding and striking feat for Robin Bellemand and Jérémy Bechu two young columérins who had the immense honor of preparing this meeting in the company of the XV of France. “We had three incredible days”, exclaims Robin Bellemand still marked by the training sessions with “the best players on the planet”. “We were in Marcoussis to work on our game project with the France U20 team then we were asked to serve as sparring-partners”, recalls the pillar no more happy to have held the shields and observed the sessions of his counterparts evolving at the highest level. “We had stars in our eyes and then seeing the intensity, the concentration and the quality of the training sessions was truly inspiring,” admits Jérémy Bechu, who returned to the Colomiers hopefuls group with a surplus of motivation.
The example to follow “It makes you want to be part of this elite, to come back and work to get there”, resume in heart the two friends who even had the right to participate in the video session of the maestro, the coach Fabien Galthié. “We made ourselves very small when entering the room, we did not dare to come too much but Fabien Galthié insisted that we take our place in the assistance alongside the players”, slips Jeremy who had to quickly return to the reality of the Espoirs championship the following weekend. “On Wednesday we were in Marcoussis and on Saturday we were playing in Mont-de-Marsan”, describes the third line as if to support this total change of scenery. The two young players of the dove now have unforgettable memories and especially the infinite richness of an experience from which they will learn the lessons in order to one day perhaps have the chance to “come back to it” as they say. .
