Within the framework of the Coalition of Latin American Consuls of New York, Consul General Andrés Mejía brought the voice of Colombians to the meeting they held with Manuel Castro, Commissioner for Migrants
New York, (June 5/23). In order to convey the concerns of the communities and to strengthen and promote the work between the New York City Hall agencies and the Latin American Consulates, a meeting was held with the Commissioner for Migrants, Manuel Castro, and the Consuls of the member countries of the Coalition of Latin American Consuls of New York, in which Andrés Mejía, Consul General, participated for Colombia.
The Consuls and the Commissioner also discussed ways to bring migrants closer to and connect with the resources and services of New York City.
