Colombian fans stuck in Argentina!

A group of Colombian soccer fans stuck in Argentina after the border between South American countries was closed due to the outbreak of the Coruna Virus, requesting its government to return to the country.
Fifteen fans of the Independiente team arrived in Buenos Aires by bus at the beginning of March and watched their team lose 0-3 to Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores Cup.

After the group set out to embark on a journey of about 7,000 km, it reached Laquesa, to find the border with Bolivia closed.

“We went through a lot, it was a nightmare, we hope to return to our country,” said Christian Ramirez.

Ramirez noted that the fans initially slept in public parks and then in schools that were later closed because of the virus.

The group was forced to travel 1,774 km to Buenos Aires and after negotiations with the local government, I stayed in a hotel in the hope of returning home soon.

Ramirez added: “We are communicating with the Colombian consulate and awaiting an evacuation flight, but there is no date yet.”

Argentina recorded 2571 cases of corona virus, in addition to 115 deaths.
