Collaborating with Pinjol, BCA is Ready to Disburse IDR 30 Billion to MSMEs

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk ( BCA) are ready to distribute loans with a limit of Rp. 30 billion to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) starting this November.

The working capital credit is channeled through PT Acceleration Financial Inclusion in Indonesia, a peer to peer (P2P) lending alias fintech platform online loans (Pinjol).

The signing of the collaboration between BCA and Akseleran was carried out on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Head of the BCA Commercial and SME Business Division, Freddy Iman, said the Covid-19 pandemic has indeed encouraged MSME business players to set strategies to increase their business potential again.

His party is aware that restoring the Indonesian economy is not only the role of the government, but also other industries including banking and fintech.

“The understanding of the shared values ​​between BCA and Akseleran is the background for this synergy. We will become an institutional lender. acceleration as well as providing support and acquiring financing for UMKM debtors who are residing in Akseleran, “said Freddy in a press release, Tuesday (17/11/2020).

Freddy said that Akseleran will be a bridge that connects MSME debtors with BCA.

He is optimistic that the collaboration with Akseleran can have a positive impact in the development of the MSME sector.

“Especially in this pandemic situation, the emergence of increasingly massive MSMEs certainly requires capital assistance,” said Freddy.

Akseleran’s Chief Financial Officer & Co-Founder, Mikhail Tambunan said that Akseleran’s collaboration with BCA was able to realize accelerated economic benefits through MSME entrepreneurs.

As of early November 2020, Akseleran has recorded a cumulative total business loan of more than Rp. 1.6 trillion and is supported by more than 150,000 retail or individual lenders who are spread evenly from Aceh to Papua.

In October, the monthly Akseleran loan disbursement reached Rp 115 billion, becoming the largest since 2017.

“The growth in business loan distribution is also in line with our efforts to maintain the quality of loan credit, where currently Akseleran’s total NPL stands at 0.21 percent of the total business loans that have been disbursed,” concluded Mikhail.
