Activision Blizzard, the studio responsible for the Call of Duty shooting video game saga, has announced that its next installment will be called Black Ops: Cold War and that it will be set in the Cold War between the United States and the former Soviet Union.
Under the slogan ‘Know your History or be doomed to repeat it’ (‘know your story or condemn yourself to repeat it’), Activision has published a trailer about the narrative of the video game, warning that it is a story “inspired by real events “.
The video reveals the title of the game, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, and is composed of archival footage of an interview with a defected Soviet agent from the KGB, Yuri Bezmenov.
Bezmenov talks about the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union and mentions Perseus, a Soviet spy who infiltrated the Manhattan Project, for the development of atomic weapons, who was never discovered.
The American developer Activision has assured that it will carry out the global announcement of the game next week, on August 26.
