tvStaf and Mathias have now reached the fifth season of their ‘Code van Coppens’. In it, BV duos still do their best to escape from a series of rooms as quickly as possible, but this time the brothers added a lot of novelties.

A host of new familiar faces are preparing for the crazy challenges of the Coppens brothers. Staf and Mathias gave free rein to their unbridled imagination, resulting in some surprising novelties. For the first time, actors are being used to make the stories even more real, but a pinch of artificial intelligence (AI) is also being introduced, which completely throws the candidates off track.
In the first episode, Bart Appeltans and Véronique De Kock compete against Ruth Beeckmans and Ben Segers. They put on their bathrobes for a series of rooms with the ‘wellness’ theme. “If I want some me-time, I take a bath and sleep,” says Ben. Although the Coppens brothers’ wellness resort turns out to be far from an oasis of peace, as the participants brave, among other things, a carrot orange spray tan and a load of slippery bath foam.
Later this season, Jens Dendoncker, Fien Germijns, Bart Cannaerts, Dieter Coppens, Joris Hessels, OSKI and Tine Embrechts will pass. The brothers’ game format is not only doing well on VTM, the program has now also been sold in Wallonia, the Netherlands, Denmark and the Middle East.
