The Karate Kid in Cobra Kai-ster Ralph Macchio says in a new interview that he is open to – under certain conditions – a new Karate Kidto make a movie.
Macchio appeared in films from 1984, 1986 and 1989 as Daniel LaRusso. He suddenly played that role again in 2018 in a series, which he and the actor William Zabka made for YouTube Red. Netflix took over the series in 2020 and has already produced two new seasons and is now on season 5.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Macchio said he would be open to making another film in the franchise. But that must be really good.
“I’m not closing a door or anything. Once this worked at this level I’d be crazy to do that. I’m open to anything, with the right content and execution. But even if they say, ‘Cobra Kai never dies “, at some point we have to finish this series and bring the stories to a close. Hopefully, Netflix will give us that opportunity and then maybe it will be possible to tell other chapters in different ways.”
