The Roman band formed by Damien David, Victory of the Angels, Ethan Torchio e Thomas Raggi she performed for forty-five minutes, when it was early morning in Italy, on the final evening of the three days of music, returned to fill the Californian desert after two years of lockdown due to the pandemic. Måneskin have played their most famous songs, including “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, “I Wanna Be Your Slave”, “Mammamia” and “Gasoline”, tribute to the victims of the war in Ukraine. Damiano presented it, citing Charlie Chaplin’s speech on the war in “The Great Dictator” and recalling the “privilege of living” while “bombs fall on a city”. During the song, Putin’s face briefly appeared on the big screen behind the band. Then, the final message shouted by the singer: “Free Ukraine, Fuck Putin”. Damiano wore a transparent pink lace negligee with flounces, which he then took off during the concert (“I thought it was cooler – he said, addressing the audience – this fucking hot”). Then, shortly before “Beggin ‘” he remained in a bondage-type outfit, with black leather microshorts and studded suspenders, and he addressed an invitation to fans in perfect English: “If you see a girl with more beautiful thighs than mine, let me know”.
