Climate Change and Flood Monitoring via Satellite Challenge: Call for Innovative Solutions from Startups

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has set October 31 as the date to receive innovative solutions from local and international startups that aim to address pressing environmental issues.

The competition requires the development of devices and tools from startups that use satellite images and artificial intelligence to accurately monitor the impact of floods. Startups can view the “OMBRIA” flood data set and maps, which includes images taken by the Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites, of many areas before and after they were exposed to floods, as all data will be available on the link, and the proposals must distinguish between the areas that were flooded.
