Clarified murder of Karate professor at the UCV in Caracas

The murder of Johnny José Pérez Materano, 37, a karate instructor at the Central University of Venezuela, occurred at his residence located on Roosevelt Avenue, corner of Los Cármenes, Santa Rosalía parish in Caracas to strip him of his belongings, was clarified by Cicpc detectives.

Members of the Central Homicide Investigations Axis were able to determine that he knew the perpetrators, who, using the trust that Pérez Materano had in them, entered his home, where they subdued and gagged him.

Subsequently, they began to inflict multiple wounds with sharp weapons and blunt objects, and then fled the site with the deceased’s valuables.

“El Gocho” and “El Negro” implicated in the murder

Through social platforms, Prensa Cicpc identified the criminals as Luis David Aray Urdaneta, alias “el Gocho”, 28 years old, and Joelvis Eduardo Hernández Espinoza, alias “el Negro”, 22 years old.

They also noted that there is a third party involved from whom they provided the alias, “Mauricio”, who remains to be identified and continues to escape.

At the time of the arrests, an amplified bugle and two televisions belonging to the victim were recovered.

Both subjects ended at the order of the Fifth Prosecutor of the Public Ministry.
