Free electricity tokens for prepaid R1-450 VA customers and a 50 percent discount for R1-900 VA subsidized customers can be obtained through the official WhatsApp PLN website and application.
You can login at www.pln.co.id or send a customer ID number to WhatsApp, 08122-123-123.
Not only R1 customers, B1 / 450 VA Small Business customers and I1 / 450 VA Small Industries also get free electricity for 6 months, from May to October 2020.
ESDM Ministry’s Director of Electricity Business Development Hendra Iswahyudi said the policy targets 450 VA customers who will be exempted from electricity bills as well as giving a 50% discount to subsidized 900 VA customers.
“Yes, it lasts three months from April to June and extends from July to September,” Hendra told Kontan.co.id, Wednesday (6/24/2020).
Hendra ensured that this decision was made in accordance with the results of the Limited Meeting on June 3, 2020.
Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said it would extend electricity subsidies to customers of 450 volt amperes (VA) and 900 VA.
“Now the electricity subsidies for 450 VA and 900 VA whose subsidies are from April to June, will now be extended to September,” Sri said in a teleconference on Monday (5/18/2020).
