Civil service: Raphaël Ngazouzé takes charge – AGP

LIBREVILLE, September 12 (AGP) – Appointed on September 9 in the transitional government led by the Prime Minister, Raymond Ndong Sima, the Minister of the Civil Service, Raphaël Ngazouzé, took office today following a handover ceremony with Madeleine Berre.

This ceremony, chaired by the deputy secretary general of the government, Yves Dieudonné Sylvain Moussavou, was an opportunity for the outgoing minister, Madeleine Berre, to take stock of more than four years of management.

A period at the end of which the outgoing team says it has carried out the biometric census of public officials; organized the Civil Service forum for the reform of this administration. But also, the plan for the progressive regularization of administrative situations 2019-2023, which made it possible to resolve 16,090 cases at the end of August 2023, including 11,079 for recruitment, and 5,011 reclassifications; the modernization of recruitment, as well as the reopening of competitions in the Civil Service.

The incoming minister, after having praised the efforts of his predecessor, committed, within the framework of the continuity of the administration, to continuing the reforms in progress.

“I embrace the challenges of modernizing public administration (…) This is why I cannot tolerate any violation of the laws governing the Civil Service and their implementing texts“, underlined Raphaël Ngazouzé, now in charge of this department.
