Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Rani Mauliani, responding to the PNS Health Service (Department of Health) DKI Jakarta, which flaunts a salary of Rp. 34 million a month. According to him, the DKI Inspectorate can give warnings or other sanctions as a form of control.
“Please (reprimand or sanction) if it’s according to the rules because policing is also necessary so that bad attitudes don’t spread.”It’s not quite right like this,” said Rani when contacted, Tuesday (23/5/2023).
The Gerindra politician was concerned after hearing the news about Dr. Ngabila Salama, who served as Head of the Epidemiology and Immunization Surveillance Section for the DKI Health Office. According to him, workers in the public service sector should be wiser in using social media (medsos).
“Moreover, those of us who work closely with public services can be wiser in responding or behaving on social media by thinking about the impact that will occur,” he said.
Rani hopes that the DKI Health Office staff will be more careful and understand their position. However, according to him, sometimes negative human traits and characters emerge and mistakes still occur.
“That is, humans still like to emphasize self-conceit without thinking wisely broadly, especially for someone who works in community service,” he said.
“Smart in using social media must be in line with the smart gadgets that we all have today,” he said.
Civil Servants of the Health Office Show off a Salary of Rp. 34 Million
As is known, initially Ngabila uploaded tweets on his personal Twitter account. The DKI Jakarta Health Office civil servant responded to a conversation and said his salary reached tens of millions even though he was not an official. Ngabila’s tweet then drew a lot of criticism and ended with an apology.
Dr. Ngabila then spoke up after his tweet received sharp criticism from the public. Through his personal Twitter account, Ngabila apologized.
“I also apologize profusely to all parties who were harmed. Also to my agency for this unwise act,” Ngabila tweeted as seen, Saturday (20/5). detikcom has received permission from Ngabila to quote his tweet.

Called the Inspectorate
The Inspectorate summoned Dr. Ngabila Salama, after showing off a salary of IDR 34 million. The DKI Jakarta Health Office civil servant is scheduled to be summoned on Wednesday (24/5).
“God willing, the Inspectorate will summon those concerned to explain further in the near future. God willing, they will be summoned tomorrow,” said DKI Jakarta Inspector Syaefuloh Hidayat to reporters, Tuesday (23/5).
During the summons, the Inspectorate will study the matter of Dr. Ngabila’s 2022 State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN), which is only IDR 73 million. The Inspectorate will encourage Dr. Ngabila to immediately make improvements to the KPK.
“I will try to explore it tomorrow and even if he has not submitted a real wealth report, of course we will push for repairs immediately, and we will coordinate with the KPK,” he explained.
“Because of this, actually all officials have an obligation to submit a wealth report to the KPK by listing all the assets they own, including the origin of their acquisition as accountability from public officials,” he continued.
