City-Sancho feedback? Nonsense

Manchester

Pep Guardiola dismiss the possibility of a reunion between Manchester City and Jadon Sancho. City will not recruit Sancho to replace Leroy Sane.

Sane headed for the City exit after refusing a contract extension. The 24-year-old winger moved closer to Bayern Munich after City reached an agreement with the Bundesliga giants.

Sancho was later touted as a potential target if City wanted to find a replacement for Sane. The future of Sancho in Borussia Dortmund indeed it became speculation after he was widely rumored to be the target of a number of big European clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid.

But Guardiola closed the opportunity to recruit Sancho. According to the Spanish manager, repatriating Sancho now makes no sense.

Sancho is a graduate of the City academy. The England international footballer moved to Dortmund three years ago at the age of 17 and began to steal the spotlight through his impressive performance in the Bundesliga.

“No, no. He decided to leave. Why did he have to come back?” Guardiola said as reported Sky Sports.

“We used to want him to stay as Eric Garcia and Phil (Foden), but he decided like Leroy now and myself, when I decided to move to another country to become a manager, to move.”

“When he decided to move to Dortmund, it was not because he would decide to return a year later. It wouldn’t make sense. He didn’t want to be here, so that’s why I thought he didn’t want to come back here,” he said.
